Ethical Framework and COPE Compliance
SUKUK: International Journal of Banking, Finance, Management and Business strictly mandates that all participating stakeholders—including authors, the Editor-in-Chief, members of the international editorial board, peer reviewers, and the publisher (SUKUK Journal)—adhere to rigorous international ethical standards. In direct alignment with Clarivate’s Web of Science Core Collection quality criteria for editorial triage and evaluation, the journal’s ethical governance framework is modelled on the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. SUKUK is available in online and very respects the publication ethic and evades any kind of plagiarism based on Turnitin report. This framework establishes transparent expectations across all stages of the publishing lifecycle, ensuring that editorial decisions remain entirely objective, fair, and grounded in scholarly merit.
To operationalise these standards, the journal maintains strict protocols regarding confidentiality, individual privacy, and research integrity. All submitted manuscripts are treated as confidential documents, protecting proprietary research data and author intellectual property prior to formal publication. The publisher and editorial board actively enforce policies that safeguard research participants and ensure compliance with ethical guidelines in data collection, while maintaining clear, verifiable governance procedures that reflect international publishing best practices.
Conflict of Interest Policy
In accordance with international publishing standards requirements, SUKUK Journal enforces an explicit and comprehensive Conflict of Interest policy across all manuscript workflows. Authors are required to declare any potential, perceived, or actual competing interests upon initial submission. This includes disclosing all sources of financial support, commercial affiliations, research grants, consultancies, or personal relationships that could influence the study's design, data interpretation, or conclusions. If no competing interests exist, authors must explicitly include a formal declaration stating that no conflict of interest exists regarding the research or its publication.
This requirement extends equally to peer reviewers and members of the editorial team to guarantee complete evaluation objectivity. Peer reviewers are obligated to decline evaluation requests immediately if a competing financial, collaborative, or institutional interest with any of the authors or funding organizations is identified. Furthermore, the Editor-in-Chief and editorial board members are recused from managing, reviewing, or making publication decisions on submissions where personal or professional conflicts exist. This multi-layered disclosure framework ensures that manuscript acceptance is governed exclusively by research quality, methodology, and scientific validity.
